Allergies...yuck!

I love that the spring weather comes early here in North Carolina but I dread the pollen and my allergies. Last week I had my first encounter with the awful pollen, it was dusted on my car. My symptoms began, itchy eyes sneezing miserable. I held out until yesterday when I finally couldn't take it and made an appt with the doctor. She gave me Singular which I've never taken before but she said it should help with both my allergies and asthma that comes along with the allergies. Also some other meds so I went home thinking I'd be good to go..WRONG! As the day went on I felt pretty yucky. The night was even worse, I didn't get much sleep and woke up feeling awful. It's not like me to feel so sick, thankfully my kids and hubby were amazing today! The kids snuggled with me on the couch for most of the morning, we watched Disney junior and the movie chicken little. When Sean got home he took the list and went grocery shopping for me :) it was really great of him and he made dinner tonight too! I sure do love him! I started to feel more myself as the night has gone on, but still am very stuffy and achy. I hope tomorrow is a much better day because I don't like feeling this way and have things to do. A week from tomorrow our movers come to pack us up and on only 17 days we head off to NY. It's all happening faster then I thought so I need to get more done from now until then. Hopefully sleep tonight will be good and I will be 10x better in the morning :)

Liam's 1st Birthday!!

Can you believe that my baby boy is 1 year old today!! A year ago at 11:31am we welcomed him into this world and now already a whole year has gone by. It feels like it was just yesterday that I was pregnant with him, anticipating his arrival and now he's a 1 year old, walking, talking little toddler.

We celebrated his birthday with friends last night! We had cake and ice cream :) Mickey mouse cake to be exact! I made a homemade vanilla cake, and YES I will be sharing the recipe :) It was soooo delicious! and the cake turned out so much better than I expected!

my handsome birthday boy, ready for his party :)

he LOVED the cake!

I love my family <3

I love to watch them play together! :)

In the morning when Liam woke up we sang happy birthday to Liam :) Then had to get ready for momma to go to the doctor. My allergies have been awful! Later in the day Liam has his 1 year well baby check up! Sean got home right before I had to leave so Chloe stayed home and it was just momma and her birthday boy. All is good with Liam, his dr said his development is advanced for his age also said he has allergies..boo and was given singular, so him and momma are the same! asthma and allergies.. my poor guy but momma is taking good care of him! He weighs 24lbs now and is 30.5 in. long! He's grown soo much since he was born!
His dr gave him his very first lollipop which he really enjoyed :) then we had to get his shots :( he had to have 4 and was such a champ! he didnt cry until after the 3rd shot! I couldn't believe it. He's a tough guy but needed some mommy time when we got home and than had a nice long nap!

my sweet sleeping boy!

After dinner we took Liam's new wagon for a spin!! Both Liam and Chloe LOVED IT! We will def be doing this alot with the weather being so nice!
wagon ride :)

Happy Birthday to Liam!

After our wagon ride and walk we sang to Liam and enjoyed the yummy cake again :)

Then momma had to take some pics with her boy! He was fussy going to bed, probably the shots and the long day. We laid on the couch together for about an hour and I couldn't believe that just a year ago we were snuggled together for the first night in the hospital bed. My sweet boy is growing up way too fast! Momma loves you sooo much Liam!! Happy Birthday baby!! :)

Consignment shopping

This week there were 2 consignment sales in the area and the kids really need new clothes for spring so I had to do some shopping! The first one wasn't as good as I expected. We walked out with just a new craft for Chloe, no clothes :/ On Saturday we got up bright and early to meet Ginger and the kids at the other consignment sale and I found a few things for Liam and 2 dresses for Chloe. It was fun hanging out and shopping. Liam and Thomas had fun riding around and Chloe and Lillian had fun checking out the toys and playing as we waited in line to check out!

New clothes for Liam
She wanted to try the purple one on as soon as we got in the door! LOL

Also did some shopping at Old Navy this week! I got some great deals for the whole family :) I love Old Navy!!
After the consignment sale on Saturday I took the kids to Dunkin Donuts. The closest one to our house is on the other side of town but because we were over that way for the sale we couldn't pass it up :)

Later that day Sean had his VA physical appt so fingers crossed he gets his disability rating sooner rather than later! After he got home I left and went to my 31 Celebrate and Connect meeting! It was fun meeting with others that love doing what I do! I won the raffle and got a new all-in-one organizer in the new Apple Blossom print!! LOVE IT!! and LOVE 31!! :)

St Patrick's Day!

Last year on St Patrick's Day I was pregnant and was hoping that my little irish boy would arrive but he waited a few days later to make his debut into the world! Even though he wasn't born on St Patty's day, with the name Liam Patrick Fennessey, I have called him my little irish boy since the day he was born :) and this year he got to have his first St Patrick's Day! Which is also his last "first" holiday. Amazing how fast a whole year goes by. My baby is 1 now and I am amazed by him and Chloe each and every day!

Beautiful day at the park

The weather has been beautiful, so yesterday we met Ginger, Lillian and Thomas at the park! We had a great time :) The girls played together, running all over, took some time on the swings, then Liam and Thomas took turns on the baby swing. Liam was being Mr Adventurous and walking all over the place, I couldn't believe how much be was doing this time. He was happy to see his friend Thomas! and we look forward to tomorrow when they can play while the girls are in dance class. It's always a nice time when we get to spend time together! :)

Lillian and Chloe at the park :) Pretty Girls!

my little walking boy :) Can't believe how big he is getting! he will be 1 on Monday!!

Myrtle Beach!

The year that Sean and I got married, his Aunt Joanie and his Uncle Harvey moved down to Myrtle Beach. We've been down there a few times but its been almost a year since we last went down. Liam was only 2 weeks old. They drove up here for Liam's baptism and we talked about visiting with them one more time before our move to NY! So we went down on Saturday morning and came back Sunday evening. It was alot of fun and we are going to miss being able to visit with them so easily, once we move. We will definitely visit again!

Saturday was cooler than Sunday so we decided instead of the beach on Saturday we would go to Broadway Beach, it has lots of shopping and cool stuff, there's even this crazy upside down house and these crazy BIG fish! We had funnel cake and let the kids walk around, Liam hung out on daddy's shoulders for a bit but then wanted to explore and walked all  over the place. We shared a funnel cake and watched Chloe go on the tea cups!
As we were leaving we we're passing by a photo booth so, Sean, the kids and I hoped in and got our picture taken! it was pretty cool and it was nice to see me in a picture since I was behind the camera taking photos the whole time LOL

We had Corned Beef and Cabbage with Irish Sodabread for dinner, while listening to some Irish music! It was a really nice time just hanging out and relaxing. It was even better that the kids we're so well behaved.

Sunday after breakfast we headed to the beach. It was in the 70's, warm and sunny, alot of people in bathing suits but just us in tshirts and jeans. Chloe had her suit on under her clothes and eventually was just in her bathing suit. She had a blast, jumping and running through the water and waves. She is going to have so much fun this summer, being able to go to the beach so often. Liam LOVED his first real experience at the beach! He started fully clothed then made it down to his onesie and ended up soak and wet! He loved playing in the sand and then once he finally dipped his toes in the water you couldn't keep him out of it. Any time you would take him back to the blanket he would turn right back around and walk to the water!!

After the beach we went back to the house, relaxed on the back patio and the hammock, fed some sucks and the swan, had some lunch and packed up the car. We were sad to see our mini vacation had gone by so quickly but it was time to be headed back home. I can't wait to spend more time at the beach with the kids again! :)
