Diaper Creations by this momma

So I've always been a fan of baby showers! I love kids, what can I say, so celebrating the birth of a new one is pretty exciting if you ask me

I always have liked gifts that are different then the ordinary ones and seeing that I'm super crafty I make friends and family diaper cakes and have shown others how to make them. I decided to branch out and do more so I've made diaper babies. And a few people have said why not sell them. So I think I'm going to start selling diaper cakes and diaper babies ;)

The Diaper Babies would include the diapers of course, a sleeper, hat and pacifier and could have other add-ons if requested. They could be used as gifts and even centerpieces of the tables at baby showers.

need to get her a hat
how cute are the sleepers with the animal feet!

I'm still working on them and actually am doing some as gifts seeing that I have quite a few baby showers to go to in the next couple of months. I am even headed to one today. So I will get feedback and home its good :) and then move along with more!!

Both of my kids love these things. Liam has been climbing on top of the table any chance he can so he can go up and give it kisses! LOL he goes "awww awww ohhhh" and the grabs the head and gives a kiss. He's even been getting into all the pacifiers thinking they are his so I need to hide them from him. He is too funny with everything

Any suggestions on where to sell, Of course there is always facebook but does anyone have any other ideas that may or may not be better!? If not, FB it is!

Transition to Toddler bed

Well as some of you may have read in a previous post from memorial day weekend, that Liam has started climbing more than usual. He is climbing out of his bed. His bed has been at the lowest setting for quite awhile now, probably ever since he started standing up in it, it's been low. I tried the toddler bed last weekend and it worked for one day and then bedtime was not going well so I put the side back on and changed it back into a crib, well then Monday he climbed out 5 times. I def can't have him doing that and def don't want him to get hurt. So back to the Toddler bed it is and I am determined to make this work. It has been a rough week but it's getting better. He has been going to bed later than usual and waking up earlier than usual but we are still working out the kinks in this so we'll get out routine better once he gets use to this new bed.
Naptime has gone pretty well, I lay him in his bed and he fusses a few seconds and then I hear quite, I check in a few minutes later and he is passed out. Night time is not as easy. The first few nights, I was laying him down over and over and over and over again, him crying "momma momma", getting out of his bed and banging on the door until I come back in and put him in his bed over and over again. It's been very trying but I am holding my frustrations together and trying my best to stay calm and praying that he adjusts to this soon.
He has never had problems at bedtime (problems with bedtime have always been Chloe's department LOL) so I know this won't last long and last night I had a silent victory in the hallway when I realized he was finally asleep at 8:59pm!!!
I first laid him down at 8: 21. Checked on him at 8:31 and put him back in bed, again 8:41..back in bed and then finally at 8: 51 back in bed! And a few mins later all was silent and he was asleep :)

Little man up before 7am one morning... ugh what a stinker! lol good think we decided to make iced coffee the morning cuz momma needed it ;)

my little Chloe when she started sleeping in her toddler bed! She looks soooo little <3

Anyone else transitioning or have transitioned a toddler from crib to toddler bed?! I gladly would take some tips of what worked for you!
I know I did this with Chloe but that feels like so long ago and she was much older. She didn't go into her toddler bed until she was 21-22 months old and at that time she didn't have any problems with bedtime. Liam will be 15 months in a few weeks and is growing up too fast for his momma!

Shopping Deals- 6/3/11

So I planned on updating more frequently this week and then the week got away from me, its Friday already and I haven't blogged since last Friday so here goes.
I went to Pathmark, Target, King Kullen and Rite-Aid since my last post and got some great deals!

This picture includes a few things that I got from Rite-Aid, Target and King Kullen
When I went to Target I got 3 tubes of Crest Toothpast for only $4.24. I was like buying 1 and getting 2 FREE, 1 tube goes for $4.36. SCORE
Then in the dollar section at Target I grabbed the popsicle thing for the kids! and the love it and for $1 we can keep making them all summer!
The Herbal Essence Shampoo was on clearance, not sure why but I'm guessing because off the funky design/advertisement on the bottle is unlike all the other bottles so I grabbed that for only $1!

I went to Rite Aid for Diapers and Gardening gloves, I had $5 off coupon for diapers plus a $3 off $15 purchase or more coupon which was a reward at the bottom of one of my past receipts. I ALWAYS get these and love them so be sure to always check your receipt. I ended up getting the 2 pairs of Gardening gloves for FREE!
I  had planned on purchasing Garnier Fructis Shampoo that was on sale at Rite Aid because I had 2 coupons that were each $1. Then I saw the King Kullen circular and saw it was on sale there too or the same price and KK doubles $1 coupons. So the sale was $2.99 a bottle and I got $2 off each bottle so they came out to 99 cents each!
The Ragu sauce was on sale at KK 2/$4 I had a $1 off coupon which doubles to $2 so got them each for $1. I also got a print out with my receipt, my next purchase of $15 or more will get a FREE gallon of milk. Which is great because with milk being around $4-$5 a gallon and the way we go through milk in this house thats a deal for me!

This is from my trip to Pathmark
I went Friday evening, they were having a special sale that was Friday ONLY.
I misplaced my receipt but off the top of my head due to sale prices and coupons, I got the 3 of the 4 boxes of fruit roll ups FREE. Pringles= FREE, Butter=FREE, Hamburger Helper was only 30 cents a box, the pasta was 77cents a box, the cake mix along with the icing(not pictured) was free, the brownie mix was 25 cents and I forget what the others were but all in all it was a good trip. Total I bought $157 worth of products and only paid $78. Thats almost 50% savings :)

I've got my circulars and coupons ready to begin this weeks shopping trip. But I've got a busy weekend ahead of me so that may wait until Monday, we'll see what I can squeeze in. ;)

Until next time
