I love Chloe-time!

So lately I know I have been talking alot about Liam with everything that has been going on so today since he still wasn't feeling himself and was in bed off and on throughout the morning and afternoon, Chloe and I did some  special things together :)

She has wanted to make Reilly (our dog) a doggy bed so we went out last weekend and I let her choose the fabric for it and we got some stuffing. So in the morning hours we sewed it up, I showed her different buttons she could push on the sewing machine so that she could help me. Then when it was time to stuff, she grabbed the bags of stuffing and got to it! She had so much fun and she loved giving it to Reilly. We can tell Reilly likes the bed. When she was a puppy she would eat up everything including her beds so she never got a new one. Now she is almost 6 and she is more laid back so  I don't see her chewing up this bed. She likes it and so does Liam! He keeps crawling on it and laying down with Reilly...sooo cute :)

After Sean made it home and we had dinner I needed to go out to the store to pick up a few things for Liam so Chloe came with momma and Liam napped at home with daddy. I decided to let Chloe choose something to make for dessert and something festive since she is really excited about Valentine's day. She chose cake mix and decorations to make cupcakes. We got home an baked and she even got to stay up later than usual to help frost and decorate the cupcakes. They turned out great and she was really happy :) I love doing things with her especially things like this where its just me and my princess  <3

I love Chloe-time!! <3 its great being able to do things just momma and Chloe and now with Liam we don't get to do it as often as we use to but I am so glad that we make some time each day just for us!! I hope that as she gets older she still enjoys doing this kind of stuff together!

Liam = champ

I was so impressed at how well Liam did today..I had to wake him up early this morning so that we could get Chloe to CC and then head to Womack. We got there just a little before 8am and surprisingly found parking that was close :) We made it to he 5th floor and Liam was in a great mood, he was playing in the play area with his Mickey and smiling and "talking" to another woman in the waiting room. He would walk back and forth from me to the table and when I told him to get me Mickey, he would bring it back to me which was sooo cute :) 

Got into the hearing test and he did well, the audiologist explained that she felt the hole in his eardrum had either healed or was just blocked by a scab or blood clot. Also surprisingly we were there about his right eardrum and while she checked his left ear we discovered there is a fluid build up and tympanic screening showed that the hearing volume is flat so she wants to see him back in 6 weeks. 

Then we waited for awhile until the next appt at ENT. Sean met me in time to go to that appt with me which was good because it was the one that I was more worried about. They checked his ear and decided they were going to remove what was in the ear canal. They laid him in this thing they call a papoose and strapped him down, he got so upset but they were able to remove a blood clot and some other yucky stuff and saw that his eardrum has healed!! As soon as they were done I picked him up and he calmed down so quickly. He didn't seem to be mad at us or the doctor which was a big relief! I didnt want something like this to affect how well he dealt with dr visits. I am very happy and relieved that we no longer have to be concerned with his right eardrum I just hope that the left ear heals up and the fluid goes away because they said if not there's the chance of needing tubes in his ear and I really hope he doesn't need that! 

We found out at the appt that Liam had a fever so when we got home he got some tylenol and napped, he is now napping again so we will see how he feels once he wakes up. I hope we don't need to make another visit to the dr this week. 

Thanks so everyone who was thinking about him today :) means alot!!! 

Other good news is my car got partially fixed this afternoon after we got back home...the rest will be done on Thursday but needs to go to the dealer :/ 

now I'm going to plan on enjoying the rest of the night on the couch with my hubby and kids :)

up & down kind of day

well today was a day full of ups and downs... I made it to the gym which was great and something that I haven't done is quite awhile because not only is it difficult with my 2 kids but I watch a kid monday thru friday every week so 3 kids at the gym can be tricky but I did it and surprisingly they were all really good and played well in the play area. We were there for almost an hour and I felt good.. def plan on trying to make it there atleast 4 days each week so wish me luck! irom mike just might be me and the kids new hang out place lol

now we come to a down...I left the gym feeling good, got the kids loaded up in the car and it wouldn't start...dead battery!! UGH! Called Sean and he was going to come but then the nicest man pulled up and asked if he could help! uhhh yes please :) got it started, had Chloe call Sean to let him know someone was helping me and we were good to go back home.

The kids had such a great time playing in the play area at the gym that they came home, ate lunch and went straight to nap/quiet time :)

Dinner time came and I almost set the house on fire and my new Wok that I got for Christmas is ruined :/
I was going to make my chicken stir fry, had the pan with oil in it warming on the stove while I was cutting the rest of the chicken and boom flames everywhere! OMG! The house was filled with smoke almost instantly then the smoke alarm went off and freaked out the kids and before you know it I was running around opening all the windows and doors and trying to keep Liam from crawling out the patio door into the rain. Now I need to go shopping for a new wok!!! anyone have any suggestions please pass them on to me :)

The rest of the night went pretty well.. after I got Liam out of the bath he snuggled on the couch with me..sippy cup in one hand and his new Mickey Mouse in the other! It was sooo cute and he must've been exhausted because he was passed out by 7:15. I decided this past weekend that we are going to have a Mickey mouse themed bday party for his 1st birthday!! :) We got him the mickey toy on Saturday at the mall because I've noticed the past few weeks that when the kids watch morning cartoons in my bed, they usually are watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and as soon as Liam hears Mickey he gets sooooo excited and starts bouncing up and down, clapping, laughing and actually watches Mickey. Ever since we got the toy he grabs it and takes it with him....soo cute :)

My up and down day could've been worse so I guess I shouldn't complain too much especially since there were pretty good "ups" with the kids but I'm dreading tomorrow.
Tomorrow Liam finally has his appointments for his ear. Back in November Chloe accidently poked Liam in the ear and it put a hole in his eardrum. The Doctor told me that it could heal on its own but if not he'd have to have surgery and have an eardrum reconstructed. I've been praying that it heals on its own and that does not affect his speech or his hearing. It's going to be an early day tomorrow of taking Chloe to CC so that she isnt't stuck at the hospital with us all day and then first appt we have to be there by 8am. I'm terrified of the tests they are doing but I can't wait to finally know what is going on and what's next. Please keep Liam in your prayers :)

Superbowl Party + Dryer

I love football! I guess it has alot to do with my family getting together every Sunday and watching the game and it grew on me throughout the years :)  I am one of those girls that loves to cook all day to make the best party food and then hang out with everyone during the gamewith a beer or maybe a glass of wine(depending on my mood lol) and route on my favorite team!! :) This year my team didn't make it to the superbowl but my friends were here and they are Steelers fans...my brother and sister are also the only in our family that are Steelers fans and since they are from my home state I decided to cheer for them.. of course we all know by now that they lost by 6 points to Green Bay but it really was a good game and we had a good time watching the commercials and eating all the food that CC and I made!! We even enjoyed the halftime show which according to MANY posts on FB others very much disliked...ohh well maybe they were watching something different LOL...


Other than the superbowl today was an amazing day in the Fennessey household!! After church this morning I went to Best Buy and picked up our new Dryer!!!! Our dryer broke back at the end of November and since we will be moving in a few months we really didn't want to buy a new one but it had to happen, it was just too much keeping up with everything and all the wash.. doing laundry had become more exhausting than before so  we finally did it!! It made my week!! haha funny to think how happy a dryer could make someone but not only did we get a new dryer, we got a brand new one! On Saturday, Sean I an found one that was a floor model and it was only scratched a few places, since it was $50 off we were like yes we'll just take that one..well as they brought it out they realized it was missing a piece that could be a major safety hazard so they gave me a brand new one still in box for the price I already paid!! BONUS!! lol :)

It was a good day and I'm looking forward to a really good week :)

the short month...

well February is turning out to be a good month! and well it usually is since its the short month that goes by quickly but what makes it even better is we are a month closer to moving and Sean getting out of the Army 65 days!!!!! We are also a month closer to my baby boys bday...can you believe it! My little man will be turning 1 next month! time to start party planning :)
Also in 2 weeks we are having Liam baptized at church so we have family and friends coming into town to celebrate with us! Esp my BFF who is Liam's Godmother! :) And to top it off and make Feb even better....we thought my bestest and the family (who spent most of Jan here) was heading back to Missouri yesterday, but sure enough after we said our sad goodbyes yesterday afternoon, and they headed out, they found out they had to turn around and come back here for another month!!! So I get my bestest and the family for another month which includes the awesome Superbowl party we will be enjoying together at our house :) And I get everything else that I've already mentioned...I feel pretty darn lucky :) and pretty happy!

This is also the LAST month that I will be working. I like caring for another kid so that I could be at home with my kids and still bring in some income but I need time to get things packed and moved and to do some last minute stuff around here so after Feb it will be just me and my kiddos each day until we move....I'm looking forward to it because there are days when I miss the simplicity of doing things with just 2.
I also will still be bringing in income with Thirty-One which I am loving more and more each month! The New Spring/Summer Catalog is now available as of Feb 1st!! and I'm super excited about business, booking parties, recruiting new team members!! Its going to be GREAT! I'm also really looking forward to sharing with everyone in PA and NY after we move so if anyone wants to book a party I'm scheduling as far out as June!!! :)

Ohhh and a little side note: 

My hubby is trying to get me to like coffee...I don't drink coffee, never could get past the after taste that stays around forever but I have always loved the smell. My dad and poppop...BIG Coffee drinkers! I remember growing up and smelling it all the time and ohh it smelled so good and to this day the smell of coffee, especially waking up to the smell of coffee in the house makes me think of them... Anyway I spent quite a long time at the commissary today, with 3 kids, ended with a FULL cart and a very FULL trunk, of groceries. Sean was heading home for lunch after his dentist appt and stopped at McDonald's and got me my first ever Mocha Frappe.....mmmmm I was pleasantly surprised that it was not like all the other coffee drinks that I've tried and I really liked it...so I guess I may start being a coffee drinker...but and a BIG BUT...I don't think you will ever see me ordering a coffee with just cream and sugar...blah! not for me!

great weekend!!

well its Saturday night and the weekend isn't over yet but so far it has been great!

Last night we had dinner with CC, Derek the kids and the Rangels! So fun and the kids were sooooo good!! We arrived at 6pm and left around 8:30 which is def past all of their bedtimes and we didn't have a problem once. You'd think 4 kids in the restaurant atleast one will cause a problem and not one did... I love that my kids are so well behaved and especially in public :)

Today was the day I finally got to sleep in...no 6am alarm and guess what I was wide freaking awake at 6am! ahhh I was going crazy...tossing and turning to go back to sleep. My only day of the entire week where I don't have to wake up to an alarm and I'm up. Finally I went back to sleep and the kids slept in too so we all woke up nice and refreshed! 

Took advantage of not having to be anywhere today and Chloe helped me make pancakes or as she likes to call them pannycakes lol 

Finally got everything out of the house that we had on the donate pile, packed the trunk and backseat of the call full and dropped it all off at Goodwill. Then came home, Sean and I took advantage of Liam napping and the 60 degree January day :) and spent it in the front yard cleaning, blowing and raking leaves. It was a huge transformation and def helps with the curb appeal haha...I can't believe it was 60 outside today...we opened some of the windows too which was amazing because if we were back home in NY or PA we'd a couple feet of snow on the ground. Tomorrow is looking to be the same way so after church we are planning on heading to Pope park and letting the kids enjoy the outdoors :) 

Tonight me and my bestest had a date night :) Chrisann moved to Missouri about a year and a half ago and it sucks not having her here but since they have been here for almost the entire month of Jan and leave this coming week we had to get in some "ME" time together. Sean and Derek stayed at our house with the kids and we went out for dinner and pedicures :) It was great! I love my kids but I def needed some time out without them. The last time I had a pedicure without Chloe in my lap was before she was born so were going on 4 and a half years lol and the last time this momma has done anything without her kids...hmmm I can't even remember that far back haha. I can def say that I am slightly jealous of those people that are able to have family that live close by or a really good friend or sitter that will take your kids for you from time to time. Being a mommy is the greatest job in the world, and by far the most rewarding. I absolutely LOVE being Chloe and Liam's momma! However, it also the most on-call, exhausting, time consuming, on your feet, mind going a mile a minute, job that never, ever ends!! and I don't think there is any momma out there that wouldn't agree!!
I really look forward to moving close to our family so that we can have some time here and there to ourselves. I def am not the type of person to push my kids off on others as you can tell but I'd like a date night here an there. Date nights have been non-existent for us unless you count the nights when can get the kids to sleep without a fight and are able to stay up and watch a movie together, which we usually fall asleep during. 

ohhh and since I went out would you believe that I was gone for 2 hours tonight and my son walked on his own, across the room. From the couch to the tv stand he walked!! OMG I couldnt believe it when Sean told me and Derek was there chimming in yeah he did, he really did.
That little stinker!! 

Liam took his first steps awhile back and has been doing more and more, 4 steps here 5 steps then 6 but walking across the room and I missed it! oh my! I was a little sad. but so excited! I can't wait to see what he does and learns next!

Well it's bedtime for me. I was going to post pictures of the house all nice but I can't find my camera to upload and its getting late so until next time....hope everyone has a great rest of the weekend!
